This whole week has been an interesting one, the lessons ive learned, the experiences ive been through all seemed to come full circle, it truly was a week to remember.
I ended up coming into contact with so many people from my past and this made me see just how small this world really is or at least just how small london is. I bumped into people from my uni, ex work colleagues, ex managers along with people ive dated and seeing them move on with different boyfriends.
In a way its good to be re-united with people from your past, especially if you only drifted apart because of work reasons and time constraints, as i have found with some of my friends and when we meet again, we are re-united and endeavour to stay in contact but for those who it wasn't so pleasant to see in the past it can still be quite as unpleasant to see them yet again.
But the truth is, when we meet people from our past and we realize just how small this world is, its usually around the time that we are experiencing certain experiences that we have experienced before but in a new way and when one is going through an experience our eyes are often veiled and were blindfolded as we are blindfolded by the experience we are going through and are subjective to it and are very much in the here and now.
I found that along with seeing people from my past and realizing just how small this world is, i also realized how similar certain experiences that i was currently going through now, ive been though them before in a slightly different way hence Deja Vu. Im just thankful that seeing people from my past shocked me out of the subjectivity of my current experiences and allowed me to become objective and see more clearly and see that im about to make the same mistakes again and this time could have more disastrous consequences.
Truth be told, everything comes full circle always, thats the circle that is life and the truth about the past is that its already done and it cannot be changed, so im not gonna worry about the past because truly, just like shakespeare said in macbeth, "Whats done is done" the past cannot be changed but we can learn from it and see the mistakes we made there and change our future, the past is set in stone because its been done already but the future is not. The future constantly changes based on the decisions that we make and so we can take control of our lives in the here and now and safeguard our future, for it is true, we reap what we sow and i pray that i reap good things as well as sow good deeds
